I cant think of a better way to have kicked off my new project! If you recall, I started a personal project this year where I highlight deserving women and do a photo shoot with them and their families. I have received so many wonderful nominations that it has been so hard narrowing them down. Today I am spotlighting Haley. I actually had 3 different people nominate her. Every single person that nominated Haley had so much good to say about what a strong and incredible woman she is. They described how she is down to earth, so fun, and so sweet. When I met Haley, it was obvious that they were totally right. Haley is a single mom with 4 kids all 5 years and younger. If you ask me, that right there should win her the woman of the year award. I only have two kids and sometimes feel like I can barely stay alive. But not only is Haley raising 4 incredibly beautiful children, but she is totally kicking butt at it!! Watching her with her children was incredible. I may have only spent a few hours with her but it was so apparant what an amazing woman and mom she is. Literally she has more patience than anyone I’ve met. She was so sweet with each one, and it was so obvious that each child absolutely adored her. Not once did she pull out her phone to text, or call or even look at it. She was fully focussed on her children, playing games with them, carrying them, making sure each one had her whole attention and love. Chasing around 4 little kids all day I’m sure would be exhausting, but she never seemed too tired to nurture and play with her kids.
Katie Livingston of KL Artistry treated her to getting her makeup professionally done, and then I went to her home and photographed her and her family in thei element.
This shoot wasn’t a piece of cake, because it was REAL LIFE, and that’s what I find beautiful about it…the candid moments between mother and child and siblings. I hope when you look at this post you can see the incredibly strong, beautiful and loving mom Haley is. Thank you Haley for allowing me to come into your home and capture moments of you and your beautiful family.
